All our products are 100% HBCD-free, pollutant-free and halogen-free – this is what we stand for. Thanks to our purely mineral binder, no flame retardants are required. Our insulation materials are certified and continuously monitored through internal and external testing to ensure the highest levels of quality and safety.
The pollutant-free material also offers a significant environmental advantage: even with direct contact with the ground, groundwater remains completely unaffected. Most flame retardants are toxic or highly toxic to aquatic organisms and cannot be introduced into the soil. This means we protect not only your construction projects, but also the environment.
Another contribution to sustainability: thermotec insulation materials are 100% recyclable and can be fully reused after dismantling – making an active contribution to waste reduction and environmental protection.

Whether it is about high load-bearing capacity for heavy loads, the need for non-combustible materials or particularly lightweight solutions for timber frame construction – thermotec provides the ideal solution.
Our company-owned laboratory is unique within the industry. Here, we ensure that our insulation materials not only meet the highest standards during production, but also prove their quality directly on the construction site. Samples are taken from every project and subjected to rigorous testing to ensure consistent performance and safety.
In addition to our internal quality assurance, our BEPS insulation materials are regularly tested and certified by independent institutes (e.g. RAL and AgBB). This allows you to rely on proven and certified quality at all times.

Regional in-house production

At thermotec, we place the highest importance on the quality and environmental compatibility of our products. Despite existing restrictions, recycled polystyrene can still contain elevated levels of HBCD (hexabromocyclododecane) and other substances of very high concern (SVHC) – often exceeding legally permitted limits. These harmful substances, particularly brominated compounds contained in flame retardants such as HBCD, are highly toxic to aquatic organisms and pose a significant risk to people (e.g. carcinogenic substances such as TBBPA) and the environment.
Our solution: newly foamed polystyrene (also known as Styrofoam®) from our own regional production.
This allows thermotec to avoid these risks while ensuring consistently high quality. This provides several advantages for you as our partner:
